Hello

My name is Melanie, but everyone calls me Mel.
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa and emigrated to New Zealand in June 2003, with my husband and two young children.
After completing my schooling, I attended Nursing College and qualified as an Enrolled Nurse.
The years that followed, I worked alongside a leading Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon as well as caring for the elderly in a private resthome and in the community.

In 2005 I entered the world of Dentistry and competed my training and certificate in 2006, as a Dental Assistant.
I have worked as a Dental Assistant for 19 years and loved every minute of it.
No tooth or mouth is the same and I find my work interesting and rewarding. I enjoy working with people and helping patients relax in the dental chair and providing quality dental care.
I am an easy going person and I love to make people happy and smile.
Here at Dobson Dental there is a lot of laughter and good vibes to be heard. Everyone is so lovely, friendly and caring.

When I’m not at Dobson Dental, you’ll find me in the outdoors, appreciating nature, doing a bit of gardening, enjoying a good book and watching cooking and renovation shows on the telly. I confess I’m and avid “Block Australia” fan.

But most of all, I lover being a grandmother and being with my two beautiful grandchildren.
